After Completing Masters in Science (Electronics) from Rajasthan University and M.Phil (Solid State Electronics) from University of Delhi, Joined DGCA, Civil Aviation Department, Govt of India as Aerodrome Officer in 1985 through UPSC. Switched over to Airports Authority of India on its formation and served in various capacities in the area of Air Traffic Management for almost 20 years as Air Traffic Controller( Aerodrome, Terminal and Enroute RADAR), and short stints as Airport Director. Also as a core group member for modernization of Delhi and Mumbai Air Traffic services, diversified in to ATM automation systems and undergone advance system Adaptation and Testing courses at Raytheon Company of USA including various other Air Traffic and Airport Management courses. In spite of hectic professional commitment, continued pursuing academic interests and completed Masters in Management from S.J.M. School of Management, IIT, and Bombay in 2002 with specialization in Technology and Project Management. Also associated with various activities of Aerospace Engg. Deptt of IIT Bombay as expert on Air Traffic Management and External Examiner to B.Tech and M.Tech Projects. Widely travelled India and abroad, still actively pursuing interests in Risk Modelling in Aviation Systems, Technology Assessment for Various systems, safety research relating to simulation and modelling of human errors and capacity and delay issues relating to Air Traffic Management. |
